Hey ya’ll, I’m glad you’re here to read up about my slow fashion journey, a journey I’m happy to say I’ve been in and out of since I was a teanager. I know, I know, I’m not perfect, I’ve bought fast fashion many times over the years & have been trapped with wanting to buy the trends of the season rather than my own individuality, but I’m here now, better late than never, right! So welcome all to my slow fashion journey.
Slow fashion doesn’t mean you don’t look cool, on-trend, or aren’t noticable.
Slow fashion can come in many different forms from bying ethically, pre-loved, vintage, clothes swaps and so much more.
Being a dressmaker by trade, preaching how we should buy British, I myself have been caught in the trap of buying what’s easy rather than spending my money on more ethical brands. Don’t get me wrong, I have always actively been conscious of where I buy from, I definitely go out of my way to buy british but there’s so much more I can do.
I’m here to chat about my journey of becoming as wholesome slow fashion as one can be, because hey, the world is made up of lots of imperfections & I believe we can never wholly be the perfect fashionista.
